Express Food Mart Armed Robbery

On November 22, 2024, Columbus Police Officers responded to the 3700 block of Veterans Parkway (Express Food Mart) in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that an unknown Black male entered the store, brandished a firearm, and struck the store clerk with his fists. The suspect then took an undetermined amount of cash before leaving the scene.

WANTED: Quentez Thrasher

On December 5, 2024 at 1:18 a.m., Columbus Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 7300 block of Sorrel Court in reference to a shooting. Responding officers discovered a Black male (later identified as Sonny Chambers) deceased from gunshot wounds.

Homicide by Vehicle Arrest

On November 11, 2024 at 4:33 p.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to the area of Macon Road and Reese Road in reference to a traffic accident involving a vehicle and a moped. The moped operator, later identified as Edith Opry, 57, was transported to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
