Two arrests have been made in connection with the deadly shooting of Davon Wallace Grimes, 34.
On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, the Columbus Police Department’s Fugitive Unit arrested Richard Upshaw III. The following day, the Fugitive Unit, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service, arrested Allen Williams.

On July 26, 2026, Columbus Police Officers responded to the area of the Riverwalk behind the 1300 block of Victory Drive in reference to an armed robbery and sexual assault.
Following an investigation by CPD's Special Victims Unit, Raheem Castle, 18, was identified as the suspect. On July 27, 2026, Castle was taken into custody and transported to the Muscogee County Jail.
