Mission:

The mission of the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of this community by providing passive and active recreational, educational, and cultural programming services for all age groups. It is our objective to provide parks and recreation facilities that are safe, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing to the entire community.

Vision:

Columbus, GA Parks & Recreation aims to enhance quality of life by providing safe, accessible, and diverse recreational, cultural, and educational opportunities for all ages, focusing on community well-being, healthy lifestyles, and leveraging public-private partnerships to develop vibrant parks and programs. Our vision involves supporting active and passive recreation, signature events, and inclusive programming, all while maintaining fiscal responsibility and excellent facilities.
