About Columbus Junior Golf Association (CJGA)

Welcome to the Columbus Georgia Junior Golf Association (CJGA), where our mission is to inspire and nurture the next generation of golfers in the Columbus, Georgia area. We are dedicated to creating a positive and supportive environment for junior golfers under the age of 18, fostering not only the development of their skills but also their character and sportsmanship.

At CJGA, we believe that golf is more than just a game; it's an opportunity for young athletes to build lifelong skills and friendships. Our organization provides a variety of platforms for junior golfers to compete, learn, and grow, regardless of their experience level.

What we Offer

Tournaments: We regularly host competitive tournaments that allow young golfers to showcase their skills and engage with their peers in a friendly, competitive atmosphere.
Clinics and Instructional Programs: Our clinics are designed to teach juniors the fundamentals of the game, along with advanced techniques. We cater to golfers at all skill levels, ensuring everyone has the chance to improve.
Sportsmanship and Character Building: We emphasize the importance of sportsmanship, integrity, and respect for others in the game of golf. Our programs are designed to instill these values in our young players.

Elevating Middle School Golf

Are you ready to tee off your middle school golf experience? At CJGA, we pride ourselves on providing an exceptional platform for young golfers 6th - 8th grade to thrive in a supportive and competitive environment. Our middle school golf programs, which include spring and fall seasons, are designed for players of all skill levels.

A-Team and B-Team Divisions

To ensure a competitive yet rewarding experience, we offer two divisions:

A-Team: Competing at prestigious courses such as Bull Creek and Oxbow Creek.
B-Team: Playing weekly at historic Godwin Creek.

Championship Tournament and End-of-Season Celebration

Each session culminates in an exciting championship tournament, along with a thrilling post-season event held on the two Saturdays following the completion of the season. In the fall, we celebrate our golfers' achievements with a festive CJGA banquet where players enjoy dinner, and awards and trophies are presented.

Junior Golf Clinics

In addition to our competitive leagues, we offer junior golf clinics every Saturday morning at Godwin Creek. For just $15 per player, young golfers can participate in a 45-minute session designed to enhance their skills and boost their confidence. These clinics run from the first Saturday in February until the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Summer Camps and PGA Jr. League

Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce our upcoming summer day camps and participation in the PGA Jr. League. These programs aim to foster teamwork and a love for golf among young players.
