Safe Streets For All

Overview

The City of Columbus developed a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan through the U.S. Department of Transportation's Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program. The plan identifies transportation safety needs across the city and establishes strategies to reduce roadway fatalities and serious injuries for all roadway users.

The Safety Action Plan is based on crash data, roadway safety analyses, and input from residents, community organizations, and partner agencies. It identifies high-priority safety projects and recommends infrastructure, policy, and program improvements that will help guide future transportation investments. The plan will also support future applications for state and federal transportation funding.
