Event Volunteer
Juneteenth Jubilee is made possible by community rich and strong in volunteerism.
Volunteers are the driving force behind this years Event. We are grateful to our volunteers for selflessly devoting their time, talents and energy in making our first unified event successful.
Please consider volunteering with this community event. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, have fun and contribute to the betterment of the Columbus Community.
High school students can volunteer and receive credit.
You can help with vendors, multiple events set ups, parking and so much more. You decide what interests you!

* For groups of 5 or more only one person is required to complete a volunteer form
Volunteers ….the special ingredient! With your help the Unity Week & Juneteenth Jubilee will continue to grow and become even more successful! Nothing is more important — or makes a lasting impression — more than a warm, happy smile. Bring one with you!
Waivers
All volunteers are required to complete two waiver forms, which will be provided by committee chairs.
Clothing
- Khakis or jeans (pants or shorts)
- Sunglasses and hat or visor (or – alas) Waterproof jacket
- Comfortable shoes
- Layers of clothing work best–mornings may be cool
Admission
Before the event, a member of your assigned committee will give you a volunteer badge and parking pass that will admit you to the park and to the Volunteer Parking area.
Upon arrival report immediately to your assigned area.
Plan to leave purses and other valuables locked in your trunk.
Food
You may pack your own food and drink, or enjoy a meal from one of our great food vendors.
Hospitality
Let people know how pleased we are to host an event like Unity Week & Juneteenth Jubilee. If someone asks you a question you cannot answer, try to find someone who can. Unity Week & Juneteenth Jubilee has an extensive radio communication system for contacting key people on the grounds.
Your Specific Assignment
If you have not been contacted by your committee chair, you will be contacted shortly. Your chair will review your specific assignment with you. If no one contacts you or if you have questions/concerns please email: juneteenth@columbusga.org.
