The Crime Prevention Grant is a grant that assists agencies and non-profit organizations to fight and prevent crime within the community.
Applications with included paperwork are due March 31st each year.
After applications are submitted, the Director and staff will review for all the proper documents. At that point our office of Crime Prevention will schedule video interviews with each applicant and submit them to the Board. The Board will then spend the next 2-3 months reviewing and voting on approved submissions. Once the Board has made its recommendations, the Director will take them to Council for approval. This usually happens in late July or early August.
You will be notified by our office that your application has been approved for referral to Council. The final approval is then done by Council during their session, you will be invited to attend this session.
